Vignettes
Ask anyone who has been making miniatures for a while, and they will all tell you that their biggest problem is space! Space in which to work, but especially enough space to display their miniatures. All horizontal surfaces seem to be covered after a while, and then a true miniaturist will start eyeing the walls! (All long-suffering spouses will do the eye-roll now).
A vignette is part of a scene or a room, where a roombox usually covers the whole room. A vignette box is never too deep, between 10 and 15 cm. It is usally framed, and can be displayed on a horizontal surface, or against a wall. Its also the ideal started project for a new miniaturist, just starting to get his/her feet wet.
