Mother in Law's Memory Box
I made this wall hanging vignette for my mother in law. This is the first miniature scene I made. Back then I was VERY proud of it! The scene includes photographs of her late husband, her mother, her wedding day, her two sons and their families. On the easy chair, made of cardboard, padded and upholstered, is a piece of knitting in progress and an embroidered cushion. On the small table is a cup of tea (glass paint) and a slice of chocolate cake (Fimo). On the side table (also made of card and covered with a cloth), is a Mother-in-law's-tongue plant (that was a coincidence!), a tea set (she has a similar one) and a book on plants.
On the floor is a braided rug, made from leftover thick tapestry wool.

The floor was made with craft sticks, and the wallpaper is a printable from About.com. I made all the
picture frames from Fimo, apart from the oval broach frame in the center.
