Woodwork
I made these Queen Anne library chairs at the 2016 Convention with Elga Koster. The workshop was for 1 chair, so I had to do lots of homework afterwards to complete them both. Now I must complete the embroideries for the seats.
Georgian toilet mirror, made in a workshop with Elga Koster during the 2015 Convention.
Marquetry table made with Rose Evans, at the 2014 Convention.
I made this project in a workshop with Nissie Vermeulen at the Miniatures Convention in Betty's Bay, September 2010. I'm very proud of my miniature dovetails, all done by hand.
Two cottage chairs made in a Guild workshop way back around 2001. It was the first woodwork workshop I ever did, and we made the chairs from scratch. It was my first encounter with power tools, so I feel very sentimental about these two chairs. I was so proud of them back then, that I didn't have the courage to paint and distress them. I did an online class on miniature painting using toothpicks, and finally gave them a little special treatment.
Little birdhouse I made, while I was on my mini painting spree.
